The Challenge: Rolling Sea Action Fund was a brand-new super PAC working to mobilize Black voters and elect Democratic leaders. Their mission was noble, but they needed to create public awareness – and fast – otherwise their donor base would never grow.
The Approach: We examined the political landscape and found an overindexing of Black-coded messaging that was overwhelmingly negative, as well as overly general, failing to recognize the wide range of voters within the category. With only a couple of weeks until Rolling Sea's official launch, we needed to differentiate the PAC and get the right people to stop, look and listen.
Results: The memorable, moving campaign video we created made a splash both in political circles and in the press, including a major feature on MSNBC's Morning Joe. It earned RSAF millions of impressions along with national name recognition.
